Burns Nicht an the Scots survey

Posted by Duncan

Weil, jist drappin by tae wiss awbodie a braw Burns Nicht, an tae comment on the Scots Survey that the govrenment pit out lest week.

The results is awmaist hailly positive - fowk want mair Scots i the schuills an i public life.  Naebody that's read the report coud say that Scots is jist a minority intress that ainlie activists cares about.  Sadly it seems Mr. David Maddox at the Scotsman didna read the report afore screivin his haivers that it shawed fowk dinna want the govrenment tae support Scots, an that fowk dinna care.  His ae statistic with the nummer o fowk that say "Scots isna a leid - mair a wey o speakin."   Nou, is "a wey o speakin" no exackly whit a leid is?  I dout Mr.  Maddox ocht tae hae taen a keik at the haill report afore lowpin tae his keybuird.

Weil, I maun rinn aff the nou, say I'll jist say again - hae a guid Burns Nicht, an I howp tae be back on wi mair suiner raither nor later.

Aw the best,

Dunc.
